One of the first things that caught my eye about the Cross Sport was the unique steep rear window and a coupe-like roofline, especially on an SUV. What I really liked about the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport was that it can comfortably seat five and still have room for your cargo! Honestly, for what I need, 3-rows in an SUV would be too much, so I would much prefer 2-rows. If you feel the same way, this capable, spacious SUV might just be for you!

Eight Great Trims

No matter which trim of the capable Cross Sport you get, you are sure to love it! You can’t go wrong choosing one of these eight available trims: the S, SE, SE with Technology, SE with Technology R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium, and the SEL Premium R-Line. With so many amazing trims to choose from, you’ll have a hard time picking your favorite! Every single one of these trims offers unique style, plenty of available features, and a spacious interior.

4MOTION All-Wheel Drive Available

The Atlas Cross Sport comes standard with front-wheel drive but does offer Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive as an option. Another standard feature for the Atlas Cross Sport is a turbocharged 2.0L engine that can deliver 235-horsepower, or you can opt for the 3.6L V-6 engine that delivers 276-horsepower, which would be a great upgrade if you plan on pulling anything in your SUV.

Available Packages

If hauling around equipment is something you do a lot, then I highly suggest also equipping your Atlas Cross Sport with the V6 Towing Package. This convenient package adds a factory trailer hitch and a more powerful alternator, giving you more space for your cargo with more security and reliability.

However, if you’re more like me and like driving with the wind and sun on your hair, I would suggest the Panoramic Sunroof Package. This package adds an enjoyable panoramic sunroof with easy-to-use electric tilt-and-slide function.

Another feature I’m excited to learn about in the Atlas Cross Sport is the technology! Features like Pedestrian Monitoring and Blind Spot Monitoring helps to give me less to worry about when I’m on the road. My two favorite technological features are the convenient wireless smartphone charger and the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability that keeps me connected when I’m on the road.
